This is the privacy policy for workmade.co.uk, the UK early-access site run by WorkMade Technologies, Inc. ("WorkMade", "we"), a Delaware company at 2261 Market Street, Suite 85249, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. For this site, WorkMade Technologies, Inc. is the data controller. You can reach us at hello@workmade.co.uk.

We've kept this honest and short, because right now this site does very little with your data — and we'd like to keep the habit as we grow.

What we collect, and why

• Your email address, if you join the waitlist — so we can confirm your place and email you about the UK launch. Lawful basis: your consent, given when you sign up. Every email includes a way out.
• A referral code and, if you arrived via a friend's link, theirs — so referral credit works. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running the waitlist you asked to join.
• Your IP address, briefly — used only to rate-limit signups so bots can't abuse the form, kept for up to 48 hours, then deleted. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
• Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) — only if you consent via the banner. Decline and we set none of them. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw any time by clearing cookies.

Where it lives

Waitlist data is stored with Cloudflare (our hosting and email provider) and may be processed on servers outside the UK, including in the United States, under Cloudflare's data-protection commitments and standard contractual safeguards. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the processors that make the site run.

How long we keep it

Waitlist emails: until we launch and you decide what to do next, or until you unsubscribe — whichever comes first. Ask us to delete you at any time and we will.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent. Email hello@workmade.co.uk and a human will handle it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

When the product launches

WorkMade's UK product — bookkeeping and tax software for sole traders, including connections to HM Revenue & Customs' Making Tax Digital APIs — will come with its own, fuller privacy policy before you use it. Nothing about this waitlist connects to HMRC or touches your tax data.
